I'm not sure who may need to hear/read this this morning, but it won't leave my mind to do a post about how thankful I am this Christmas. I have plenty to moan, groan, and bitch about, but instead, even as I tired as I am from the last few days, all I can feel is a spirit of immense Gratitude.

I thank the good Lord above it, and I'm sure some of y'all are getting tired of those posts, but I just can't help but to be amazed and wowed and thankful to God for all He's been doing in my life.

I'm going to set the Christianity to the side for a moment, though, as I list the things I'm thankful for. I know where my thanks is owed, but I'm hoping that maybe by sharing some things here some of y'all, Christian or not, may be able to look into your lives and find some silver linings. :)

Very happy to report I actually not only participated this past year (for the first time) but even managed to score a COMPLETE BLACKOUT!!!!!! =) I have VERY much enjoyed doing this and would definitely recommend it to any other fellow avid readers! :)

I'm not sure who else may need it, but I just bumped in two wonderful ladies on my way back from lunch and found out they were both needing a gentle reminder as well as the reminders that keep surrounding me from all the motivational podcasts I've been listening to lately. <3 We all have our stories, and there's always some one worse out there than we are. But we all also have something for which to be grateful, even if it's just the fact that we can breathe still. And as long as we are breathing, He's not done with us, and we're not done in this world.

Stay strong, sisters and friends, and remember this, too, shall pass! Look where we are, for better or worse, -- but then look where we've been! Almost every one of us can remember a worse time, and if not -- look to those around you, someone there is a warning of where your life COULD have gone!

We weren't here ten years ago, and we won't be here ten years from now! But if we keep chugging ahead, we'll be better off from here!

I can remember most of my oldest elders, including my Great Aunt Georgia, who was the best person I will ever know, always having a definite reverence for President Jimmy Carter. I've never known too much about his Presidency or the ones immediately around him. Despite having read many books on various Presidents over my years, their terms just never held much interest for me.

Then I found this tonight.
