Coming Out of Their Shells!

I have been a Turtle fan for what seems like almost my entire life. I was actually one of the lucky ones who got to go to the concert in person, and both my parents got into the concert as well. For my Mother, that wasn't surprising, but for my Father, it was. At the point where (spoilers) Shredder invades the show, he actually stood on his chair, waved his little, plastic sword, and threatened Shredder to himself! I don't have very many good family memories, but that was one of them. <3

That soundtrack has gotten me through some of the toughest times in my life. I have been there for every version of TMNT, and very rarely disappointed. I was escatic when it was announced they were making a new movie with Seth Rogen behind it (even though I LOVED the live action films and SO wish they would have continued them!) I made plans, right upon hearing the announcement that it was being made, to BE there at the theater for it -- and again, keep in mind, I've been to the theater very few times. It's a special treat, but a new TMNT movie was to be a special occasion!

Then... This happened.

There will be fans. There should always be fans, and I'm afraid perhaps this... deterioration (my comm, my post, my opinion!) will actually hit it off well with our latest generation, the way things are going. For me, though, I won't be there. I DO, however, ache to keep the Turtle love alive, and to give them some kind of tribute to keep the fandom going as it should be, without the insult that is this latest turn. To that end, I welcome you, gentle reader, into a new, little layer on my journal. You might even say it's our very own Turtles sewer tunnel...
